Lass Your Aff Off! Stand-up Comedy

On Thursday, September 24, Lass Your Aff Off! will be back at the Voco Hotel with an incredible lineup of comedians that we can’t wait for you to see. Our headliner is the very funny Don Friesen.

Don is a modern suburban dad just trying to raise his kids and get through the day with a bit of money in the bank and a scrap of dignity intact. With a unique style that can best be described as frenetic and engaging, Don has recently taken his smart, savvy, and highly-caffeinated comedy to the stage at the Alex Theatre in Glendale, CA, for the taping of his new Showtime one-hour special titled “Ask Your Mom.” In his first nationally released concert special, Don delivers a winning hour of clever, true-to-life “he’s talking about my family up there” comedy that manages to be adult-smart yet family-friendly.

Joining Don at the Voco Hotel is crowd favorite Jenna Perry!  Jenna was the 2019 winner of the Funniest Housewives Competition. She has had the privilege of performing at the Brea Improv, the Irvine Improv, the Camino Real Playhouse and many other venues around Orange County. Her unique and hilarious perspective on everyday life keeps audiences laughing.

Rounding out the evening of laughter, making his first Voco Hotel appearance is Mark Kraus. Mark is an LA native from Boyle Heights/East LA who brings a unique perspective to comedy as a Jewish/Japanese (Jewpanese) guy who everybody thinks is Mexican. Mark talks about everything from the trials of raising 2 girls, to smart, subversive social takes. He performs throughout southern California and his first mini special, Mark Kraus: Ground Up, produced by Yoga Leroy Studios, is streaming now on YouTube.

Our big show on September 24th will be hosted by OC comedian Marianne Connors. Marianne’s clean and honest look at everyday life makes her a must see at comedy clubs and events. As a retired school teacher, her quick sense of humor kept her alive and sane for the many years she “performed” in front of a classroom filled with unruly students. Now doing comedy full time, Marianne talks about a wide range of topics audiences of all ages can relate to.
