Event Details

Felipe Tennis & Recreation Center, 27161 Nogal, Mission Viejo, CA, 92692

MISSION VIEJO, Calif. — October 8, 2026 — The Elliot & Eileen Kranson-Schubert Mental Health Foundation will hold its First Annual Mission Viejo Thanksgiving Celebration on Sunday, November 22, 2026, from 2:00 to 9:00 PM at the Felipe Tennis & Recreation Center, 27161 Nogal, Mission Viejo. Admission is free and open to the public. The Foundation expects 100 to 200 guests.

The celebration brings the community together to give thanks and to raise awareness of mental health and emotional wellbeing. Guests can enjoy food and live music, hear from speakers, visit booths hosted by local organizations and businesses, learn about mental health resources available in Orange County, and meet the people behind them.

The event also marks the kickoff of the Orange County Psychological Association's Outreach Committee.

"Thanksgiving is about gratitude and connection, and both are good medicine," said Dr. Donald K. Schubert, founder of the Foundation and a clinical psychologist for over 40 years. "This celebration is our way of making it easier to talk about mental health and easier to find help."

The Foundation launched its first programs this fall. In partnership with Vocational Visions of Mission Viejo, it now offers monthly psychoeducational seminars on topics such as managing frustration and anger.

Admission: Free. All are welcome.
