Can You Get A DUI While In A Golf Cart? Yes, Ladera Woman Discovers
This South Orange County woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI while driving her electric "Gem" Golf Cart. Here's what happened.

LADERA RANCH, CA — A Ladera Ranch woman was arrested late Wednesday after crashing her electric golf cart vehicle near the O'Neill Drive roundabout, officials said.
The 36-year old woman was traveling northbound on O'Neill and attempted a left-hand turn onto Narrow Canyon at an unsafe speed at approximately 11:45 p.m. according to California Highway Patrol officer Rafael Reynoso.
"She lost control of the 'golf cart' and caused it to overturn,"Reynoso said. "She was booked at Orange County Jail following her felony DUI arrest in Ladera."

The woman had three female Ladera Ranch passengers in the "golf cart" with her -- all sustaining minor injuries from the collision, none requiring hospitalization according to Orange County Fire Authority personnel.
The females are 29, 36 and 37-years-old, according to OCFA firefighter paramedics, who responded within minutes.

The driver was booked at Orange County Central Women's Jail following her felony DUI arrest in Ladera, according to Reynoso. She was released on bond, according to Orange County Jail records.
As of Friday, the traffic collision is still under investigation, Reynoso said.
