Suspected Hit-And-Run Driver Involved In 2 Mission Viejo Crashes

A Mission Viejo an allegedly drunk driver got a dose of car crash karma after fleeing the scene of a hit-and-run, again.

MISSION VIEJO, CA — Whether it was karmic payback or just a big dose of bad luck, an allegedly intoxicated hit-and-run driver who fled the scene of a crash was struck by another vehicle late Monday night, cops said.

Witnesses saw the driver smash into cars at the intersection of Alicia Parkway and Jeronimo Road, then flee the scene, according to an Orange County Sheriff's Department Mission Viejo Police Services spokesperson. Moments later, he was struck by another driver.

Deputies arrested the suspect at the second crash scene after three good Samaritans identified him as responsible for the first collision.
