Car Smashes Through Mission Viejo Taco Shop
A sedan slammed across the parking lot, striking a pedestrian outside of this popular Mexican eatery in South OC.
MISSION VIEJO, CA —Taco Tuesday at Los Golondrinas Mexican Restaurant in Mission Viejo took a scary turn when a car slammed through the outdoor dining area, into a pole and a person, police said.
It was mid-afternoon, and local diners were outdoors eating Mexican fare when the white Infinity sedan careened up and over the sidewalk. The vehicle struck a pedestrian, destroyed a cement trash enclosure and caused what could be severe damage to the strip mall store, according to police.
There were people outside of the popular eatery, Los Golondrinas, located on the 25800 block of Jeronimo Road, when the car struck, evidenced by the half-eaten burrito, or possibly taco, and the smear of salsa left across the vehicle's damaged front end.
