City Council meeting included 2022 goals

Mayor Bucknum shared objectives and Council proclaimed January as "Sex Trafficking Awareness Month"

(City of Mission Viejo)

During the City Council’s first meeting of the year on Tuesday, Mayor Wendy Bucknum presented her sentiments and goals for 2022.

The meeting, which was held via Zoom, also focused on proclaiming January as “Sex Trafficking Awareness Month” and recognizing the efforts of those who work to save lives and bring an end to human trafficking. To support the designation, Mission Viejo City Hall is adorned in blue lights. The color blue signifies a national public awareness campaign designed to educate the public, law enforcement and other industry partners to recognize the indicators of human trafficking. The City Council meets at 6 pm on second and fourth Tuesday of the month. Meetings are streamed live and air on Cox Channel 30 and AT&T U-Verse Channel 99.
