City Of Mission Viejo: Film Screening, Discussion On Japanese-American Experience During World War II Set For Nov. 14

Award-winning filmmaker Antonia Glenn and Professor Evelyn Nakano Glenn will host a screening on November 14 of “The Ito Sisters, An American Story,” a documentary covering the experiences of three sisters whose immigrant family struggled to make a life in America at the turn of the century.

The screening, which begins at 2 pm, will be followed by a discussion with the filmmakers. Funded by the California Civil Liberties Public Education Program, the free event takes place in the Council Chamber at 200 Civic Center. Masks are required for unvaccinated guests. No registration is required.

Patrons can also learn more about the Japanese-American experience during World War II by visiting the gallery exhibit on display at the Potocki Center for the Arts through the end of the month.
