Come Up On Compost At Mission Viejo City Event
Mission Viejo residents interested in bagging some compost are encouraged to participate a the self-service compost giveaway.
MISSION VIEJO, CA — Are you on the market for some all-natural fertilizer? Do you want to get it free of charge? The City of Mission Viejo, in collaboration with Waste Management and Tierra Verde Industries, are gearing up to host an organic compost giveaway Saturday — and residents are invited to participate while supplies last.
The event is being held in celebration of Earth Day, according to a city news release. While the compost is free, residents will have to get their hands dirty if they want to take some home. Participating residents are asked to bring gloves, shovels, proof of residence and five-gallon containers to the event, as you will be asked to scoop your own compost.
Residents can collect up to 36 gallons of compost, the city said.
