Cox Cares Foundation Awards More Than $30,000 to High School Seniors throughout Orange County
Mission Viejo High School's Alison Chen named as a 2015 Cox Scholar

Cox Communications employees and Orange County students, their families and teachers celebrated the achievements of 13 high school seniors on June 24 at the Cox offices in Rancho Santa Margarita. Through the Cox Cares Foundation, students were named 2015 Cox Scholars and received scholarships ranging from $2,000-$3,000 and recognition for their successes in the classroom and in the community.
“Serving Orange County’s needs and fostering access to education isn’t a charitable contribution, it’s an investment in our youth and our community,” said Jessica Barbier, Cox’s Community Relations manager. “The 2015 Cox Scholars represent some of the area’s finest students.”

Funded by employee payroll donations that are matched by the company, the Cox Cares Foundation provides support to communities in Cox Communications’ service area by awarding scholarships to high school seniors, Innovation in Education grants to local schools, and grants to non-profit organizations. A volunteer advisory board of Cox employees oversees the foundation and its giving programs.
