Crash Reported, Traffic Stalls On 5 Freeway In Mission Viejo: SigAlert

MISSION VIEJO, CA — Morning traffic in south Orange County took a turn for the congested after a crash was reported on the State route 5 freeway traveling south Wednesday morning, the California Highway Patrol reported.

No one was injured in the crash, according to CHP logs. The crash happened at 6:56 a.m. near Alicia Parkway in Mission Viejo and resulted in a half-hour long SigAlert, authorities said.

The crash slowed southbound traffic on the freeway for roughly two miles.

As of 8:20 a.m. the SigAlert was canceled, authorities said.
