CUSD TO RENEGE ON COMMITMENT TO OFFER HONORS CLASSES FOR 2015-16

Special Board Meeting Wednesday July 15, 2015 - High School Graduation Requirements

Note: Any District preparing students to enter a four year college or university must require students to complete a minimum of three years of math and the completion of Algebra II otherwise graduating students will only have the option of entering a community college. The UC schools and Cal State schools will not accept students who do not complete: Algebra II and 3 years of math and all the a-g requirements.

At the May 13th 2015 Board of Trustees Meeting- Agenda Item # 28 “Broadening the Course of Study- New Secondary Courses”, the Board voted to add the following Honors Classes for 2015-16:

  • Honors English II
  • Honors Biology
  • Honors Chemistry
  • Honors World History
  • Honors Algebra II
  • Honors Algebra 2/Trig

  • Directed Earth Science
  • Civics in Action
  • Photography and Graphic Arts
  • ROP Introduction to Architectural Drafting and Design
  • ROP Engineering Technology II
  • ROP Hotel and Hospitality Careers
  • ROP Introduction to Renewable and Sustainable Energies
  • ROP Restaurant Management/Entrepreneurship
  • ROP Robotics
  • Stand Up Paddle
