Deputies Search Mission Viejo Neighborhood for Bank Robber

Deputies are searching in Mission Viejo for a bank robber who robbed a Chase Bank branch Monday.

The robbery occurred at 23992 Alicia Parkway shortly before noon, said Orange County Sheriff’s Department Lt. Mark Stichter. A male suspect of unknown description handed a teller a note demanding cash. He then fled, but witnesses did not see a vehicle or the direction he fled in.

No weapon was seen during the crime, said Stichter. Deputies are on the ground in the surrounding neighborhood looking for the suspect, while a sheriff’s helicopter is searching from above.
