Rather then state the “Official” number of 52.5% (which the District has had since last fall) Staff continued to reference the “Unofficial” number of 54.1%. In error- Trustees voted to adopt the LCAP amending it to reflect the “unofficial” 54.1%. To be accurate (before sending the LCAP to OCDE) the official number of 52.5% should be used.

LCAP - Goal 3: Presented by Stacy Yogie

1) Increase the number of students completing A-G Requirements by 3%.

The LCAP states that the Official CDE 2012-13 a-g completion rate for CUSD was 53.1%.

Then the CUSD LCAP states: “Unofficial CUSD a-g rate for 2013-14 is __________ and 2014-15 will be available in July 2015.”

The Goal was 3% improvement or 56.1%

The 2013-14 Official number is 52.5%.

This is a .6 decrease from the 2012-13 number of 53.1%, and a 3.6% decrease below the LCAP’s stated goal and should have been accurately reflected on the Districts LCAP.

The Official number of 52.5% is posted on the California Data Quest Web Site at the following link and has been available to CUSD since last fall.

A member of the Public Wendy Shrove questioned this number at the Board meeting and was told that the official number for 2013-14 was 54.1.

The 54.1 as represented by Stacy Yogi, Executive State & Federal Programs is a misrepresentation of the facts. The correct number is 52.5%.
