Disneyland Stroller Width Questions Answered
On May 1, 2019, Disneyland Resort changed their stroller width rules. Just how wide can yours be? Here is what you need to know when you go.

ANAHEIM, CA — Parents everywhere were questioning the new stroller rules at Disneyland Resort, but if you use some common sense tactics, you should be alright.
On May 1, 2019, Disneyland's stroller width rules changed to help with pedestrian traffic through the resort, they said. Still, questions circled on park message boards and across social media.
Very few people had a handle on how the strollers would be measured once you arrive at the park.

According to Disneyland spokesperson, double-wide strollers and push wagons are no longer allowed.
"Any stroller wider than 31-inches at the wheelbase and/or longer than 52-inches, as well as wagons, will not be allowed inside the resort," Patch was told.

That's 31-inches in width, at the wheelbase when you face your stroller, and 52-inches in length, front to back.
If it's over 31-inches, say 31.5-inches, you won't be able to take it inside. You could push it, and argue with a cast member, but why?
Cast members will be on hand as you self-measure your stroller outside of the security screening areas, before you get inside Downtown Disney or Disneyland Resort.

Still, we recommend that you do the measuring, yourself, before you go.
How do I know if my stroller works?
Grab a tape measure, or look to google for manufacturer's specifications before you go.
How do I measure my stroller for the theme park?
- Remember, measurements should width-wise (that's basically "elbow to elbow" of your child).
- 31-inches or narrower? You're good to go. That adorable stroller in that picture above was 22-inches wide. No problem.
- 31.5-inches or wider? You'd better wheel that bad boy back to the hotel room or car.
What kind of strollers are best for Disneyland?
Single-width, front and back strollers, such as Sit and Stand brands less than 52-inches in length, would be acceptable inside the park, while double-wide baby joggers and beach wagons would not.
How do I rent a stroller at Disneyland?
What to do if you don't have another stroller option? The park will rent regulation size strollers for the day for $15 each, just inside the gate.
If you have a Disney Resort Visa Card, you can even get a slight discount on the rental fee. Or, hit your local big box store before you go, to buy an umbrella stroller for even less.
And remember, be good to your cast members. They are only following the park rules.
For the pushers of those baby joggers, this is a travesty! But, if you've ever gotten stuck walking behind someone pushing one, you might be cheering right now.
