Earth Day Celebrations This Weekend In Mission Viejo

Want to help your town by volunteering to plant some trees? Here's how to help out & green up the earth on Earth Day, 2018 in Mission Viejo.

MISSION VIEJO, CA — This weekend, get out of the house with the family and enjoy a beautiful day out in nature. It's Earth Day at Cordova Park in Mission Viejo. All are invited to roll up their sleeves and join in a community project to beautify your area parks. And have a little fun in the process.

"Give back and help the environment by volunteering during our annual Earth Day & Arbor Day celebration on Saturday, April 21," event organizers said.

This annual Earth Day event is from 8 a.m. to noon at Cordova Park, 26931 El Retiro.

Volunteers will have the chance to plant trees and shrubs at the park located near Carl Hankey School. Free hotdogs and ice cream will be available for volunteers while supplies last.

Along with the planting, we are hosting a Green Expo that will feature earth-friendly activities and environmental exhibits with tips on water conservation, pollution prevention and recycling.
