Eatery Opens In Mission Viejo; Garden + Grille Serves Up Fresh Links

MISSION VIEJO, CA — A new outdoor eatery is coming to the Oso Creek Golf Course, and Mission Viejo residents can get a taste of the gourmet food at Garden + Grille this Saturday, Feb. 11.

The city's newest restaurant will be nestled near the 10th Tee at Oso Creek Golf Course and will serve as the city's first all-outdoor eatery.

"This new eatery boasts spectacular views of Oso Creek Golf Course and is the perfect spot for lunch with friends, family, co-workers or dining solo," Private Event Manager Rochelle Baker told Patch. "It's a casual dining area sprinkled with scenic views, music and a relaxing vibe — a great place to satisfy your cravings and savor the good life with friends."

The restaurant will specialize in fresh grilled, gourmet links, and the menu ranges from fresh grilled Italian sausage with peppers and onions to a jalapeño cheddar dog, and more.

In addition to serving up fresh links, Garden & Grille will also hold a raised gardening space that will serve both as a means for the restaurant to get fresh produce and for the community to learn more about sustainable gardening.

"Eventually, Garden + Grille will have eight raised beds growing organic herbs and other plants," Baker said. "Lecturers will be brought in to offer educational programs on sustainable farming, organic gardening and more — these programs will be open to the community."

Other programs to be introduced include garden painting and wine tasting.
