Man Dies After Rollover Crash In San Clemente
Authorities believe the 63-year-old man experienced a medical emergency just before the crash.
SAN CLEMENTE, CA — A 63-year-old man died after a single-vehicle rollover crash near a San Clemente shopping center Saturday morning, the Orange County Sheriff's Department reported.
A female passenger was also hospitalized for non-life-threatening injuries, authorities said. Their identifies have not been released.
The crash was reported just after 9:40 a.m., while the two were driving in a Maserati westbound along Camino de los Mares, near the Ocean View Plaza shopping center, OCSD Lt. Renee De La Rosa told the Orange County Register.

The car hit a tree before landing in the right westbound land, reports said.
Investigators told the OC Register that they believe the man suffered a medical emergency that triggered the crash. Authorities do not believe that alcohol, drugs or speed played any part in the crash.

The crash prompted authorities to shut down Camino De Los Mares between Camino El Molino and Calle Agua while investigators assessed the scene Saturday.
