Champion Dancer Cheryl Burke Headlines Japan Relief Fundraiser

• Cheryl Burke Dance Laguna Niguel, a popular Orange County ballroom, will celebrate its second anniversary by hosting a studio dance party to raise funds for the Japan earthquake and tsunami relief effort on Friday, June 3, from 7:45 to 11 p.m. The studio is located at 28221 Crown Valley Parkway.

            Studio founder Cheryl Burke, two-time champion on the hit TV show "Dancing with the Stars," will teach a beginning group class in Cha Cha from 7:45 to 8:30 p.m., followed by social dancing and performances by the studio's professional dancers. Complimentary wine, non-alcoholic beverages and hors d’oeuvres will be served. The event will include a raffle and prizes from local businesses helping to sponsor this fundraising effort. 

A percentage of proceeds will be donated to the Japan America Society of Southern California - Japan Disaster Relief Fund 2011. The society is a non-profit, charitable and educational organization consisting of individuals and corporations with an interest in United States–Japan relations.
