The Lifeguard Training Course is being offered by the City to educate citizens about skills necessary to prevent and respond to emergencies involving aquatics. Lifeguard Training, First Aid and CPR for the Professional Rescuer certification will be taught to participants.
Participants must be at least 15 years old by the last class meeting and demonstrate adequate swimming skills by completing the swimming skills test on the first day of class.
The courses are offered over the span of three days. Classes are Friday, March 25 from 4:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.; Saturday, March 26 and Sunday, March 27 from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. The cost is $140 and includes a book and pocket mask.

The classes will be offered again from April 15-17 and May 20-22.
