Explore the Orange Empire Railway and Museum

The excursion departs from the Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center.

Explore the West’s largest collection of locomotives at the Orange Empire Railway and Museum on Thursday, October 8, 2015. The excursion departs from the Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center, 24932 Veterans Way, Mission Viejo, CA 92691 at 8 am and returns at 5 pm.

In addition, the Museum houses the largest collection of Pacific Electric Railway rolling stock in the world. Most of it was rescued from scrap yards. Expansion includes modern crossing signals. One is a century-old and only one of three to exist. The others are in Baltimore and Ohio Museum and at the Smithsonian.

Trains and railways have been disappearing for years, but a group of friends have been able to keep them alive at the Orange Empire Railway and Museum in Perris, CA.
