Fatal Irvine Crash
73-year-old William Peng was killed on June 29 when his vehicle collided with a tree on Alton Parkway east of Harvard Ave.
Irvine, CA--A single vehicle crash claimed the life of a 73-year-old William Peng of Irvine on Tuesday, June 29.
Peng was reportedly driving alone south on Alton Parkway when his Mazda sport utility vehicle in slammed into a tree in the center median.
Firefighters responded to the crash at 4:45 p.m. and freed the victim from the vehicle, but were unable to revive him.

"He was pronounced dead at the scene," Orange County Fire Authority Capt. Larry Kurtz said.
It was not immediately known what caused the crash.
