Fatal Ortega Highway Crash Kills 1 In South OC: CHP

RANCHO MISSION VIEJO, CA — At least one person died in a two-car crash on Ortega Highway Friday morning, the California Highway Patrol said.

The crash was reported at 10:50 a.m. Friday on the eastbound side of the highway traveling through Rancho Mission Viejo, in south Orange County, authorities said.

The crash involved a white Jeep and a silver sedan, authorities said. One person was pronounced dead at the scene, and it was not clear if anyone else was injured.
