Fire Destroys House In South Orange County

MISSION VIEJO, CA — Orange County firefighters were hard at work early Tuesday morning after a house fire was reported in Mission Viejo.

Firefighters were on the scene just after midnight in the 24000 block of Delos in Mission Viejo in response to a house fire.

Upon arrival, firefighters found that a significant portion of the home was already engulfed in flames. A man living at the house was treated for smoke inhalation and declined to be taken to the hospital, authorities said.

Firefighters were able to contain the fire and ensure that it did not spread to other homes, authorities said.

No other injuries were reported and the fire is under investigation.
