Firefighters Quell Chimney Fire In Laguna Hills
Smoke is supposed to rise from a chimney, but not flames! Orange County Fire Authority responded to a chimney fire this week.

LAGUNA HILLS, CA — A Laguna Hills home suffered damage Tuesday when the chimney caught fire, Orange County Fire Authority reported this week.
Firefighters arrived at the home on Bridlewood and Flintlock in Laguna Hills just after 7 p.m. where a two-story home's chimney was fully aflame.
"Due to the quick response, they were able to confine it to the area," an OCFA spokesperson reported.

Interior crews worked to minimize the damage inside the home as they battled the fire from the exterior.

The fire was ultimately caused by a faulty chimney and was ruled accidental, OCFA reported Wednesday. The cost of damages to the home was not reported, and it is unknown if any residents were displaced in the fire.
