Garage Fire Traps Family Cat In Mission Viejo: OCFA
A cat named Bear was rescued from a garage fire in Mission Viejo this week.
MISSION VIEJO, CA — A residential fire trapped a family cat and threatened a home in Mission Viejo Wednesday afternoon, authorities said.
The fire was reported at 3:29 p.m. Wednesday in the 2700 block of Manzano, the Orange County Fire Authority reported.
Upon arrival, firefighters found a garage fully engulfed in flames that were threatening to reach into the home.

Fire crews quickly knocked down the fire, and during their search of the home, located a cat amid the smoke.
The feline — named "Bear" — was reunited with his family, while the majority of the home was saved from the flames.
