Get Your Shred On In Mission Viejo

Identity theft is a fast growing crime and the city of Mission Viejo wants to help you shred your documents.

From the City of Mission Viejo: Mission Viejo Police Services and the City are giving folks the chance to destroy their sensitive documents on Saturday, September 9. The free drive-through document shredding event is from 8 a.m. to noon in the Mission Viejo High School parking lot at 25025 Chrisanta Drive.

Identity theft is one of the fastest-growing crimes in the nation, and shredding documents with personal or financial information can be an effective measure of prevention.

Mission Viejo residents and businesses can bring up to 10 legal-size boxes of paper records – cancelled checks, pay stubs, credit card statements and more – for immediate shredding by Orange County Shredding. The boxes of pages may contain staples and paper clips but must be free of notebooks or other bindings.
