HazMat Search Of Gas Station Bathroom In Mission Viejo

MISSION VIEJO, CA — A call for medical aid at a gas station in Mission Viejo turned into a Hazardous Materials search, Orange County Fire Authority says.

Firefighters arrived at the scene of the gas station bathroom on the 26800 block of Trabuco Road, to find an unresponsive man, according to OCFA Capt. Than Nguyen.

Officers provided him with treatment, and took him to an area hospital in an unspecified condition.

OCFA then called in the Hazardous Materials team to determine what may have caused the medical emergency, Nguyen told Patch.

As of noon, investigations were ongoing at the scene.

"There is no threat to surrounding businesses or homes, at this time," Nguyen says.
