High-Speed Stolen Car Pursuit Through South OC Ends With Arrest
The police chase started in LA and went through Santa Ana, Mission Viejo and San Juan Capistrano, reaching speeds of up to 120 MPH.

MISSION VIEJO, CA — Two suspects were arrested Monday, Sept. 18 after a traffic stop in Mission Viejo resulted in a high-speed chase across Orange County, the Orange County Sheriff's Department reported.
The incident was reported on Monday at around 10 p.m., when a Mission Viejo deputy noticed a black Dodge Challenger with a California temporary plate affixed that belonged on a 2014 Subaru Forester in Los Angeles.

After the deputy attempted to make a traffic stop, the Dodge fled from the scene and led authorities on a pursuit through the cities of Mission Viejo, San Juan Capistrano, Fountain Valley and Santa Ana, where speeds reached up to 120 miles per hour.

The pursuit ultimately ended in Inglewood, where two people were taken into custody. The Dodge that the suspects were driving was found to be stolen a few months prior in the City of Carson.
After a follow-up investigation, authorities found a stolen and loaded firearm nearby. Authorities also discovered that one of the arrested suspects was previously arrested for possession of a loaded firearm in Compton.

Both suspects were released from custody after posting bail, authorities said. Their names were not released.
