Honor Patriots In Mission Viejo At City Event Sept. 11: What To Know
Mission Viejo residents who wish to honor the men, women and children who lost their lives on Sept. 11, 2001 were encouraged to attend.

The City of Mission Viejo will host a Patriot Day remembrance ceremony to honor the men, women and children who lost their lives and the heroes who responded to the catastrophic events of 9/11.

The gathering is from 6-7 pm on Monday, September 11 at the Oso Creek Trailhead Memorial flagpole (next to the Potocki Center of the Arts lower parking lot) at 27301 La Paz Road.
In reflecting on the anniversary of that tragic day, the ceremony will include Mayor Brian Goodell, Mission Viejo Christian Church Pastor Mike Mailolo, Boy Scout Troop 321, Orange County Fire Authority Chief Cheyne Maule, and others sharing heartfelt messages and patriotic sentiments.

The event will include a candlelight remembrance and light refreshments. The public is invited. Residents are encouraged to walk or ride their bikes to the site along the Oso Creek Trailhead.
