Honor Veterans In Mission Viejo At Annual Veterans Day Ceremony
The City of Mission Viejo invites you to take part in a Veterans Day Ceremony Thursday.
MISSION VIEJO, CA — This Veterans Day, the City of Mission Viejo invites you and your loved ones to take part in the annual Veterans Day ceremony on Thursday.
The ceremony, which is open to all members of the public, includes comments by Colonel Seth W.B. Folsom, commanding officer of the Headquarters Battalion of the 1st Marine Division. Guests will also hear a statement from retired Army Captain Nick Saifan.
The event features a vocal performance by Philip Anthony Bardowell and a color guard, rifle salute and taps. Following the ceremony, participants will enjoy a dessert and beverage reception with a veteran resource fair. Guests will have the chance to learn about the POW/MIA memorial table sponsored by the Saddleback Valley American Legion Post 862, the City's Marine Adoption Committee, VFW Auxiliary Post 6024, City-based veterans' services and the proposed Orange County Veteran Cemetery.
