House Fire Damages Avenida Veronica Residence: OCFA

The damage to the Mission Viejo home was "extensive," OCFA said.

MISSION VIEJO, CA — A fire damaged a house in Mission Viejo Tuesday and displaced a family of six, but no one was hurt.

Firefighters sent to the 26500 block of Avenida Veronica at just before 8:45 a.m. extinguished the flames in about 20 minutes, said Capt. Larry Kurtz of the Orange County Fire Authority.

Four adults and two children were displaced, Kurtz said. The cause of the fire was under investigation.

A damage estimate was not immediately available, but damage was "extensive," Kurtz said.
