The 15-year-old girl was found with Nathan Williams, 22, a Texas resident who she had met online Aug. 27 after she was pronounced missing earlier that morning. The Orange County Sheriff's Department said Williams had traveled from his resident state of Texas to meet with the youth.

The pair had been "conversing online through an app called Discord," said Carrie Braun of the Orange County Sheriff's Department Friday. Williams "traveled here to meet her and she was picked up yesterday in a rideshare vehicle, according to the investigation," Braun said.
