Show Your Love For Your Community Nonprofits

2nd annual, i❤oc Giving Day from 6 am, Wednesday, April 27 to noon, Thursday, April 28, 2016.

Orange County Community Foundation is hosting its 2nd annual, i❤oc Giving Day from 6 am, Wednesday, April 27 to noon, Thursday, April 28, 2016.

There are more than 400 participating nonprofits for this year’s OCCF Giving Day. In addition, the OCCF is also providing a bonus of approximately $400,000. Nonprofits can receive awards/prizes for donations made during the 30 hour period.

One nonprofit organization participating is Age Well Senior Services and Meals on Wheels. Unfortunately, Age Well- Meals on Wheels, has experienced a decline in donations and financial support. We had to discontinue weekend and holiday meals.

Age Well Senior Services and Meals on Wheels offer programs and services to assist our older adults. We are there to help--whether it’s a ride to the grocery store or medical appointment, participation in an activity at a Community and Senior Center, receiving a hot meal at home or a center. We even offer pneumonia and flu shots for adults and many others in the community.

In fact, Age Well Senior Services served approximately 400,000 meals in South Orange County. In South Orange County, this past year more than 63,000 seniors depended on programs and services offered by Age Well Senior Services. Together we can give our seniors the quality of life they deserve.
