Hundreds Of Helmets To Be Handed Out In Mission Viejo Saturday
Providence Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo is handing out roughly five hundred helmets to kids Saturday. Here's how to participate.

MISSION VIEJO, CA — Since last year, Providence Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo reported an increase in pediatric trauma patients who suffered injuries from riding e-bikes, skateboards and traditional bicycles without a helmet.
In an effort to encourage safe riding, Providence Mission Hospital is giving away roughly 500 multi-sport black helmets to kids ages four through 17 on Saturday, the hospital announced Thursday.
To participate, residents can visit The Shops at Mission Viejo from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday to have their child properly fitted for a free helmet while supplies last.

Officers from the Laguna Beach Police Department will attend the event to share e-bike safety tips and information on riding laws in the different cities of Orange County.
The helmet giveaway is sponsored by Providence Mission Hospital and The Shops at Mission Viejo.
