If A Tree Falls In Mission Viejo... Avoid These Streets!

Residents were told to avoid this intersection after a tree toppled into the street.

MISSION VIEJO, CA — It was a day of heavy rain, soggy ground and uprooting trees in Mission Viejo.

Orange County Police Services, Mission Viejo, alerted drivers to avoid the area of Aprico and Felipe, due to the fallen tree.

"Residents were asked to avoid it, and use Fieldcrest to access local streets," they said.

Orange County public workers were out in force cleaning up the streets and making sure the roadways were safe for all drivers. Floodwaters were diverted in the area of Modjeska Canyon Road in east Orange County.

Live Oak Canyon Road was closed at El Toro and Santiago Canyon Road, only open to residents, they said.


Meanwhile Trabuco Creek continued to overflow the bridge, with debris and logs forcefully topping the guardrails.

After the rains, repair crews will be out ensuring all are safe.
