MISSION VIEJO, CA — Art and Celia could be the cutest couple in Mission Viejo. At 96 and 92-years-old, respectively, the pair have a long-standing history here. He is a World War II veteran, and she has made an impact with her neighbors over the years. At least, according to their neighbor, Michelle Cammaressi.

For years, Cammaressi and family have dropped off Christmas cookies, and shared holiday cheer with their elderly neighbors next door.

"The photo (above) is from a few years ago when we delivered Christmas to them!" she wrote on Facebook. This year, she wanted to show them how much people really do care. It seemed only natural to reach out to her virtual community.

People from across Orange County began to chime in. They asked if they could send food, gifts, and even a Christmas tree to the elderly couple.

Within two days, Cammaressi had well over 200 responses to her Facebook request. Neighbors began helping neighbors, messaging each other for ideas on how to bless this military family with the best Christmas ever.

Patch has offered to lend a helping hand, and is now gathering your comments to send a Christmas message to this sweet couple.
