Keep Mission Viejo Drug Free

Consider joining the Drug Prevention Coalition in Mission Viejo.

MISSION VIEJO, CA — A new year begins with new opportunities to advance drug awareness and prevention in Mission Viejo, as the City is seeking caring and concerned residents to join the Drug Prevention Coalition.

The Coalition features local parents, educators and community advocates interested in learning about area drug trends, community resources which address drug use and prevention, and an understanding of best practices to support a drug free Mission Viejo.

With the Coalition’s goal the prevention of drug addiction and dependency in Mission Viejo, the City has partnered in this effort with local support groups, Solace of Orange County, the Orange County Health Care Agency, and Mission Viejo Police Services.

Members will also advise the City on educational services and be a part of new outreach campaigns.

The Coalition next meets on January 30 at 6 p.m., with meetings usually scheduled for the third Wednesday of each month at the Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center, 24932 Veterans Way.
