Ladera Ranch DUI Collision Injures Family Of Four: CHP

A family of four was injured Monday night in Ladera Ranch after a driver suspected of DUI collided with their SUV.

MISSION VIEJO, CA — A 35-year-old Las Flores man was arrested for felony DUI after colliding with a family of four in an SUV on Monday night.

The collision occurred at approximately 7:45 p.m. at the intersection of Antonio Parkway and Benjamin Drive in Ladera Ranch according to California Highway Patrol Officer Rafael Reynoso.

Two children were passengers of the SUV, a 7-year old girl and a 9-year old boy, CHP confirmed.

"A male driver of a BMW headed southbound on Antonio collided in the intersection of Antonio and Benjamin with a family of four in a Honda Pilot," Reynoso said. "This was a big deal."

The Honda Pilot was driven by a 45-year old female, with a 44-year old male passenger; and two children ages 7 and 9., Reynoso said.

All four passengers in the Honda Pilot were transported with minor injuries to Mission Hospital on Crown Valley Parkway, Reynoso said. The BMW driver was arrested at the scene according to Reynoso.

This collision remains under investigation.
