Man Dies On Roof Of South OC Shopping Mall: OCSD

MISSION VIEJO, CA — A man died on the roof of a shopping mall in south Orange County Thursday, the Orange County Sheriff's Department said.

The incident was originally reported at around 5 p.m. in the area of Crown Valley Parkway and the Interstate 5 Freeway at the Kaleidoscope in Mission Viejo, 27741 Crown Valley Pkwy.

"First responders were assisting with a medical aid of an adult subject on the roof of the Kaleidoscope," deputies said in a statement. "Unfortunately, the man died at the scene."

The OCSD did not release any details surrounding the man's death but said that suspicious circumstances were not a factor in the incident.

No further information was immediately available.
