Man Grabs Woman From Behind, Drags Her On South OC Trail: OCSD

Orange County authorities released a composite sketch of a man wanted for grabbing a woman on a trail in Mission Viejo Tuesday.

MISSION VIEJO, CA — Orange County Sheriff's deputies sought the public's help Tuesday afternoon in finding a man wanted for grabbing a woman who was walking on a trail with her dog in Mission Viejo on Friday, July 21.

To help authorities locate a suspect, the Orange County Sheriff's Department released a composite sketch of the suspect described by the victim.

According to authorities, the incident happened on Friday, July 21 at around 9:40 p.m., when an adult woman was walking her dog on a trail near the Norman P. Murray Center in the City of Mission Viejo.

According to the victim, an unknown suspect approached her from behind and grabbed her around the waist before dragging her about two feet.

The victim screamed, pushed the suspect away, ran to her vehicle and fled the scene, authorities said. The suspect apparently did not say anything to the victim before or after the incident.

The suspect was described by authorities as a Hispanic male, 30 to 40 years-old and standing at about 5'8". He has buzzed dark hair, a "husky" build, darker skin tone, brown eyes and no facial hair.

At the time of the incident he was wearing a light-colored long sleeve button-down shirt and dark dress pants.
