Man Shot, Killed In Aliso Viejo; Gunman At Large: Police

ALISO VIEJO, CA — Orange County sheriff deputies are seeking a gunman wanted for killing a man in Aliso Viejo in a potentially gang-related shooting, the Orange County Sheriff's Department Spokesperson Carrie Braun told Patch.

The man was discovered 12:15 a.m. Friday after the OCSD received calls reporting gunshots near Via Jacinto and Via San Miguel in Aliso Viejo.

He was found suffering from a gunshot wound outside of his residence and pronounced dead at the scene by the Orange County Fire Authority.

The shooter left before police got to the house, police told Patch. They were still looking for him as of 11 a.m. Friday. OC Sheriff's homicide and gang enforcement teams are investigating the incident.

The identity to the deceased man is not known pending next of kin notification, Braun said.
