Masked Gunman Robs Mission Viejo Store

A masked gunman robbed a Mission Viejo convenience store making off with the cash early Monday morning.

The man, who wore dark clothing and a handkerchief covering his face, entered the Circle K at 26052 Marguerite Parkway just before 1 a.m. Monday, said Orange County Sheriff’s Department Lt. John Roche.

“He produced a handgun and demanded all the money from the register,” Roche said.

The cashier complied, and the robber fled in unknown direction, he added.

“No vehicle was seen or heard in the area,” Roche said.

Detectives are now examining video and looking for fingerprints for a break in the case.
