“Election Day” this year is actually almost 30 days long! All voters received a ballot through the mail in early October, and there are many different options for casting your vote! You may vote in person during a 5-day period, or return your ballot in one of the following ways: by mail (no postage required), or drop it off in one of the secure ballot drop boxes, or drop it at one of the Orange County Vote Centers. The locations of the Mission Viejo ballot drop boxes are:
- Florence Joyner Olympiad Park, 22761 Olympiad Road
- Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center, 24932 Veterans Way
- Pavion Park, 24051 Pavion
In addition, Mission Viejo City Hall will also host a drive-through ballot drop-off on the in-person voting days, October 30 through November 2 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and November 3 from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Voters can pull up and hand their ballot to a Registrar of Voters employee without leaving their car.

California now offers the ability to track your ballot, so you can see when it was mailed, received and counted! You may register at https://california.ballottrax.net/voter.
If you prefer to vote in person, the OC Registrar of Voters is operating Vote Centers throughout Orange County for 5 days, from October 30 – November 3 (8 a.m. to 8 p.m. October 30-November 2 and 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on November 3.) In Mission Viejo, those locations are: Mission Viejo Church of Christ, Mission Viejo City Hall, Norman P. Murray Community & Senior Center, Orange County Islamic Foundation, Saddleback College PE 200 Gymnasium, or Shepherd of the Hills Church. For locations outside of Mission Viejo, visit www.ocvote.com.

There are many choices on this year’s ballot for City Council. I have been a servant leader on the City Council for 16 years to help to assure that our City is a great place in which to live. I was pleased to see that a national publication, 24/7 Wall Street, named Mission Viejo “best city to live in the state and among the best cities to live nationwide.” (See the link to the article on my website.) If you are pleased with life in Mission Viejo—top safety rankings; wonderful parks, facilities and programs; balanced budgets and strong reserves—please consider my record in reaching these achievements and vote for me. I am honored to have the endorsement of the Association of Orange County Deputy Sheriffs, Orange County Professional Firefighters, Orange County Taxpayers Association PAC, South Orange County Economic Coalition PAC, and others. Patricia “Trish” Kelley is last on your ballot, but I hope to be your first choice!
