Hamburger. Catsup. Soda. Sounds like things you might need for a backyard Bar-b-que, right? Not this time! These are the primary ingredients for the most amazing meatballs . . . . .ever! Start with a large sauce pan. Pour in one liter of Ginger Ale, followed by one 24 oz. bottle of Catsup. While you are bringing those two things to a boil, take out 1 lb. of lean ground beef and place it into a large mixing bowl. Add 1 1/2 cups of bread crumbs, 1 small onion grated, 1 egg, 1/2 cup milk, dash of salt and pepper and 2 Tbsp. of Soy Sauce. Using hands, blend together until well mixed. Once sauce begins to boil, take meat mixture, form into balls and gently place them into the sauce. Cover and reduce heat to simmer for one hour. After the first hour, remove lid and continue to cook over low heat until sauce thickens. (2 or more hours...but it's worth the wait!) These meatballs can be served over noodles, pasta, or on toothpicks for fun hors d'oeuvres!
