Meet Disneyland Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge New Cast Members

ANAHEIM, CA — It was smiles, laughter and even tears as these Disneyland cast members were offered jobs working at attractions, restaurants and as citizens of Batuu at the new Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, opening in late May, 2019.

With typical Disney Fanfare, employees of the park were told of their transfers to the opening team.

Earlier this year, leadership teams set out on a special mission, identifying cast members with a passion for Star Wars, who could help bring this new land to life.

"In this video, Disneyland Resort cast members were given the biggest surprise of their Disney careers, an invitation to become citizens of Batuu," a resort spokesperson said.

The opening of the new land will expand employment opportunities across Disneyland Resort.

Both Disneyland park and Disney California Adventure park will hire 1,400 cast members in attractions, food and beverage, retail, entertainment and custodial.
