Deputies Rescue Autistic Woman From Mission Viejo Roof

A missing at-risk Mission Viejo woman, affected by autism, was found on a roof. She was reported missing by her family early Wednesday.

MISSION VIEJO, CA — An autistic woman who was reported missing was reunited with her family after she was rescued from a Mission Viejo roof Wednesday morning, sheriff’s office officials said. Officers were actively searching for the 36-year-old Mission Viejo woman, who was considered at risk due to her special needs.

Soon after her parents reported her missing, she was spotted on the roof of a nearby home in the area of La Paz and Felipe roads. Deputies helped her back to the safety of terra firma.
