Missing Man, 80, Located In South Orange County

MISSION VIEJO, CA— An 80-year-old man who was reported missing in the Laguna Niguel area was found Monday after an extensive helicopter search.

Laguna Niguel Police Services sought a man, 80 years of age, who was last seen wearing a blue fishing hat, light blue polo shirt, dark blue shorts, white socks, beige shoes. He was last seen at approximately 2:30 p.m. in the area of Cabot at Crown Valley and Cape Drive, police said.

He was located less than an hour later, police services officers said.

Anytime someone is considered critical missing, there is another level of search that the sheriff's department uses to find the person quickly, according to Orange County Sheriff's Department Officer Joses Wahlehwa. This includes the use of the OCSD helicopter, Duke.
