In the wake of the tragedy in Uvalde, Texas, Secure OC Schools will host a panel discussion on Wednesday, June 8 from 6:30-8 pm in the Mission Viejo Council Chamber.

Secure OC Schools is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving school safety by increasing awareness, providing schools with additional safety resources, and developing a stronger regional network for collaboration and information sharing. Mayor Pro Tem Ed Sachs currently serves as Chairman of Secure OC Schools and will moderate the event, which will feature representatives from the Orange County Sheriff’s Department and Safe Kids H.E.R.O. program.

The panel will discuss school safety and mental health, and guests will have the chance to ask questions. The public is invited.
