Mission Viejo Coldwell Banker Raises the Most Food Donations in Orange County

Second Annual Food Drive Competition Raises Over Four Tons of Food to Help Feed Rising Number of Hungry Children in LA and Orange Counties

NorthStar Moving® Company, the leading eco-luxury mover in California, announced today that the Mission Viejo Coldwell Banker office collected the most food donations in Orange County in their second annual “Let’s Send Hunger Packing” summer food drive competition in partnership with Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage. The food drive raised 8,109 pounds of food to feed hungry children in Los Angeles and Orange Counties.

Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage offices in LA County and Orange County competed for two months to collect the most food donations for their local food bank. NorthStar Moving tallied the collected food for each office and is very pleased to award Mission Viejo Coldwell Banker as “Food Donation Heroes” for collecting the most food in their county. Beverly Hills South Coldwell Banker raised the most food for Los Angeles County. NorthStar Moving offered the Mission Viejo office with their choice of either: lunch for the entire staff or a $1000.00 donation to the food bank in their name as their award. The office generously chose to donate the $1000.00 to their food bank, Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County.

“Our entire sales force came together stronger than ever to participate in this food drive and we’re so proud to be involved in this important cause,” said Jeff Culbertson, executive vice president, Southwest region, NRT, LLC, for Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage. “We had a lot of fun challenging ourselves on this competition. For us, it wasn’t about being ‘Food Donation Heroes,’ but about turning August around for the food bank and making it a time of abundant food donations.”

“I am so grateful for the participation of all the wonderful folks at Coldwell Banker and our community. Together with our team at NorthStar Moving and the amazing team at Coldwell Banker we raised 8,109 lbs. of food which is more than 3,500 pounds than last year and means this year we raised 6,487 meals!,” said NorthStar Moving Co-Founder Laura McHolm. “I am beyond thrilled that we surpassed our donations from last year and I know we can continue on this upward climb to send hunger packing. But, just because this summer’s food drive is over, doesn’t mean you can’t go online and donate directly to your local food bank. Together, we will send Hunger Packing all year long!

NorthStar Moving delivered all of the food donated in Orange County to Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County and all of the food donated in Los Angeles County to the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank.
