Mission Viejo: Get Ready To Brighten 2020 With The Annual Holiday Home Lighting Contest

With 2020 bringing much darkness, now’s the time to shed some holiday light on the year through the Annual Holiday Home Lighting Contest.

Mission Viejo residents are encouraged to brighten their neighborhoods and share the holiday spirit by competing in the annual lighting contest. Homes must be decorated and submitted to the Mission Viejo Activities Committee by 5 pm on December 4.

Homes will be judged based on categories like Most Creative; Best Theme; Best Use of Lighting; Most Humorous; Showstopper; and Light Up Your Neighborhood Award.

Preliminary Judging takes place December 6-8, with the final judging on December 9.

Winners will receive prizes along with the winner sign for their front yard and a photo.
